I thought it about time to update you on the progress of the Midlands
Training Consortium, last mentioned in the middle of last year.
This discussion group is still meeting about monthly, and is made up
of about 35 arts organisations, training providers and freelancers
based in the Midlands. The main aim of the MTC is to coordinate
training and assessment in back stage and off stage skills.
Over the next year we want to form this company, apply for funding to
do some research into training needs in the Midlands, which should
enable us to apply for more funding to arrange some training in
following years.
