1) The TANGEDCO has made a circular that all windmills irrespective of
date of commissioning are liable to pay with effect from
01/06/2011 @ Rs 1.60 lacs per year per MW if they are connected
through the TNEB SS to the Grid .

The TANGEDCO proceedings are unilateral and arbitrary. It was issued without the approval of TNERC and therefore, it cannot sustain on its own. Windmill consumers have to make a challenge. TASMA is already planned to file a MP before TNERC.
2) Higher slot to lower slot adjustment still not allowed . In fact the TNEB, Dindigul EDC has started billing in 5 slot wise (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5) rather than the earlier 3 slotwise (Peak (C1+C2), Night (C5) , others (C3+C4). Although the APTEL dismissed the TNEB appeal and there were assurances that the circulars allowing the higher slot to lower slot adjustments will be permitted still no circular has been issued.
A member of TASMA has already approached High Court and the matter is likely to be decided shortly.
3) The Wheeling charges are payable only for the windmill units adjusted during the month. whereas the TNEB in DIndigul EDC is deducting the 5% wheeling charges on the gross generation. This is also against the TNERC orders.
A DRP has to be filed by the individual captive consumer at TNERC and then only, justice could be maintained.
