CNC Aluminum and Casting Manager/Engineer (Location: Zhuhai/Shenzhen, China)

Responsibilities:

1. Provide proactive customer design support for Aluminum and Magnesium cast and CNC machined components and function as technical expert in the areas of cast and machined metals.
2. Evaluate and contribute to the development of Machining and Casting techniques and metal materials/technologies for specific applications, both through internal development and relationships with suppliers.
3. Perform DFx and technical reviews with internal and external customers on metal part design, materials, secondary operations and manufacturing processes.
4. Oversee engineering functions of the concept & development phases of a structured product development process for mechanical components.
5. Support the analysis and problem resolution with machinery, tooling robotics and equipment.
6. Trouble-shoot and solve technically complex metals manufacturing problems.
7. Technical support of mechanical business development activities for Flextronics High Velocity Solutions group.
8. Communicate customer product trends and associated future requirements with internal technology and development functions to drive innovation and value-add capabilities for Flextronics.

Requirements:

1. BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
2. Strong independent planning & customer interface skills.
3. Advanced training and experience with various metals technologies.
4. Strong working knowledge of materials.
5. Must have solid theoretical and working experience knowledge of metals and material behavior.
6. Experience in tooling/fixture design, construction and debug.
7. Experience in machine set-up, prototyping and DOE.
8. Experience with materials, tooling, finishing, & secondary assembly processes.
9. Experience with solid modeling, simulation analysis, and DFx for machined parts & mechanical assemblies.
10. Manufacturing / Design experience with the following being a strong plus: 
11. Project management (certification) with working knowledge of MS Project or comparable PM software.
12. Aluminum Die Casting & CNC Operations, NPI and direct customer PM history.
13. FMEA, Six Sigma (green belt certification), Lean Manufacturing.
