Forwarded is OB's circular on the arrangements to mourn the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis. As you may note, the flag should be flown half-mast starting from today, Tuesday 22 April until further notice. The arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.

I would appreciate your cooperation in observing the above. By copy DS Vasita, please ensure the half-mast is observed accordingly by schools and offices.

Dear Secretaries, Clerk to Parliament, Chief Registrar, Auditor General and AG Pauline,

As you may be aware, His Holiness Pope Francis the Bishop of Rome and Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church sadly passed away on Easter Monday 21st of April, 2025.  Attached is a circular for the Recognition Funeral Arrangements as decided by Cabinet which includes the National Flag to be flown half mast from today Tuesday 22nd April, 2025 until further notice.  I kindly request your assistance in this matter.

Secretary Bwereti kindly request your assistance informing all Clerks of this Cabinet decision.  OIC Eeri your assistance in this regard as well.  

I will advise later this week of the Requiem Mass arrangements and the public holiday once information is received from the Catholic Headquarters.
