Dead Space is a critically acclaimed survival horror game that was first released in 2008. The game was developed by Visceral Games (formerly known as EA Redwood Shores) and published by Electronic Arts.
The game takes place on a spaceship called the USG Ishimura, which is sent to a distant planet to extract resources. The player controls the protagonist, Isaac Clarke, an engineer who is sent to the ship to investigate a communications blackout. Upon arriving, Isaac discovers that the ship is infested with a horrific alien species known as the Necromorphs, which are reanimated corpses that have been mutated by an alien artifact known as the Marker.
Dead Space is known for its atmospheric storytelling, intense gameplay, and innovative mechanics. The game received critical acclaim for its unique approach to survival horror, winning numerous awards and spawning two sequels. If you enjoy horror games with a focus on intense combat, puzzles, and exploration, then Dead Space is definitely worth checking out.
The developers have also stated that they are using the latest game engine and technology to make the game more immersive and terrifying. For example, the new game engine will allow the player to experience zero-gravity environments in a more realistic way, and the sound design will use 3D audio to create a more immersive soundscape.
Overall, based on what has been shared by the developers, it seems that Dead Space Remake will be an exciting and terrifying remake of the original game, with updated visuals, improved controls, and enhanced sound design.
For those of you who have not played the game (or better yet, did not even know it existed) to the tonne phrased, but not yet introduced to the following phrase/nt to be introduced to you. You can load right into my save by pressing esc when the intro is playing.
Addition of an optional savefile for Point of No Return that contains all conceivable logs. Missing five autocall records that are produced when mistakes are made and which are impossible to recover without starting over:
It still autosaves and I have 19 save files for my latest game. I have a total of 436 save files. I can select "Continue" when starting and it loads the last autosave no problem. I just have to play for awhile and then try to exit the game and see how much time I will lose and try to get to a spot with minimal time lost. Annoying, but workable.
I have the same issues but my problem is that the save point doesn't show any graphics and then it crashes. If I try to a load a game from the in-game menu, the game crashes. I have modified my antivirus settings, set the game to admin, verified the integrity of the game, and re-installed. I even renamed my save file folder and deleted the original Dead Space (2023) folder in steamapps. I uploaded a video showing how the game crashes.
I have the exact same issue after playing through the game several times. It started crashing at the save station and now will not save at all. Also found the save folder in Steam but I dont know how to clear or move the saves. Also cannot find any save folder links in the Dead Space app itself. Could you post how to move these files as I am not familar with the process. Thanks.
I went to my Steam account and disabled the online backing up. This prevents Steam from restoring the save files you move or delete. I honestly don't remember how I got there, but I just kept clicking through on the settings or tools for the game on the steam application.
I selected all the save files for the games I didn't want to go back to, which were from SG01-01.sav to SG04-436.sav (this last file was the last saved game I had before the error), and I moved them into a sub directory. I was then able to begin a "New Game +" and have been happily saving away.
My issue is that after a death, it reloads but in less than a second crash! back to desk top, with EA app as if nothing happened. I have done all the normal stuff, repair game, keep saves to no more than 10,
After perhaps 20 minutes I got ripped to shreds and my head was gone, just a bloody stump. (Sorry, I mean I died, that's all) As usual the game started from the last check point save as usual - I die a lot in unpleasant ways.
Sorry for the silly bloody stump neck bits, just tryng not to get annoyed. Just wanted to say it has started to happen to me, with zero messages anywhere. This post is not helpul, just wanted to add myself to the Deadspace remake crashers club.
Wanted to jump in on this before the weekend hits. We have seen other reports similar to this, so I wanted to provide some info and steps that have helped and others that may with this crashing.
First, the number of saves. We want to limit that the best we can but a lot of times the data on the save can become corrupted. If you have ever played a single-player game, you have experienced that.
Environmental Hazard is the sixth Chapter in Dead Space. Isaac goes to Hydroponics in an attempt to fix the air quality issues on the Ishimura, and ends up face-to-face with his biggest challenge yet.
Follow the Locator path to backtrack your way to the Security Station, then back to the Tram from there. When you arrive at the Medical Tram Station hop on and set your destination for Hangar - Cargo - Tram Control.
Visit the Store on the Tram deck here if you need, and remember there is a Bench through the Medical door to the right. When you are ready to proceed go through the Tram Station Hall door to complete your current objective.
From here, you need to go straight ahead through the Tram Repair Room. BUT if you check the map, you can also see that there is a Security Clearance 1 door nearby. Revisit the spot where you found the Stasis Module way back in Chapter 1, it is just up the Tram from there.
Backtrack to the hall from before and make your way to the aforementioned Tram Repair Room. Expect some Necromorph interference as you make your way across the room to the Hydroponics Tram Station door. Listen to the voice call, grab the Ammo in this hall, then enter the Tram Station.
Grab the Audio Log from the bench in the waiting room, then walk out onto the Tram deck. Loot the floor chest by the door then override the station lockdown to gain access to the Tram. Before heading out via the to Hydroponics door.
Go back out into the hall and make your way to the end where you will find the Hydroponics Central Hub elevator. Hop out, smash the Item Box by the elevator, then grab the Credits off the floor. Go through the door to the Sapling Room where you will find some floor chests, as well as a warning message from Dr. Cross telling you to run away.
Inside you will find a Save Station, a Store, some lockers, and a whole bunch of locked door. Loot and do whatever business you need to do, then interact with the computer in the middle of the room to Initiate Enzyme Synthesis using the Liquid Nitrogen.
She will give you an idea of how you can defeat the Leviathan, a giant monster that has taken control over Hydroponics. After the call your objective will switch, sending you back to the Central Hub.
After grabbing all the items you can hop on the elevator on the opposite side of the room and ascend to the next floor. Expect a Necromorph ambush, but you have plenty of space to deal with it. Go straight ahead to the West Grow Chamber.
Note all the explosive tanks lying around. I recommend grabbing one because there will be Necromorph ambushes as you walk around this room! Expect a combination of typical Necromorphs and Lurkers. Make use of the massive space to run around. Try and get them to group up. Use as many of the tanks as you can.
The Force Gun, as the name suggests, is a cannon that releases a burst of energy. Remember when I said the Line Gun was sort of like a shotgun? Maybe I spoke too soon, as the Force Gun may have the proper claim to that comparison. The primary fire lets loose a blast that sends enemies flying across the room, dealing damage as they run into the environment and each other.
Exit the room and head into the other nearby room, West Seedling Room B. This room is full of toxic gas that has been released by the first Wheezer. The Wheezers are non-aggressive enemies so don't worry about attacking, just approach it and interact to inject the enzyme.
Expect even more Necromorphs when you step out of the Seedling room. Try to use any remaining tanks or fans lying around to save Ammo. Once the threats are gone, hop on the elevator in the middle of the room and ride up to Floor 3.
There are some sneakily placed items in this room, including some Credits under one of the tables and a Large Med Pack on top of a shelf in the corner. There are also some others out in the open, including some Ammo and Credits on the tables.
Finish buying and selling then head through the next door into a long hallway. Here you will encounter a new enemy type, a stringy Necromorph with a large glowing sac attached to its arm. If you let them get close the sac will explode, dealing massive damage.
Instead, simply shoot the sac directly as they approach you. Plasma Cutter or Pulse Rifle are ideal weapons for this. You can also use the Cutter to dismember and detach the exploding sac, which lets you pick it up and throw it back at them.
