This is a personal e-mail from me, Jennifer, since the TEA Party as an
organization does not officially deal with politcally "social"
issues.

I do know that the vast majority of our local TEA Party is very
socially conservative so I wanted to pass this information along to
you and my posts aoutomatically show up as a post from the
organization.

There are those within our general assembly building up the momentum
to override Govennor Perdue's veto of HB54 - The Woman's Right to Know
Bill. As of now they are 30 votes short of being able to over ride the
veto.

Below is a short summary of the bill. To read the whole bill go to
http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/legislation/legislation.html

SUMMARY: This act provides that an abortion may not be performed
without the pregnant woman's voluntary and informed consent, and that
specific conditions must be fulfilled prior to an abortion being
performed. The act also provides for recordkeeping requirements, and
civil remedies for knowing or reckless violations of the act. This act
becomes effective 90 days after it becomes law, and applies to claims
for relief arising on or after October 1, 2011.

According to a recent Civitas poll 56% of North Carolinians support
this bill.
