We are having a Tax Day Tea Party on Friday, April 15th, from 5 to 7
on the court square in Shelby, and we would love for you and all of
your members to come.

Distinctly false rumors of the demise of the Tea Party are being
spread by liberals, and the people who blindly follow them believe
their untruths. Our group has added new members every single month
since we began, and we have only lost a total of about 7 or 8 -
usually because of a bill or something we supported with which they
disagreed. Some people are protective of an entitlement program if it
provides for them in some way, and as we all know, over 51% of
Americans are now beneficiaries of the government’s largesse.



You’re still here. We’re still here. And all of our members are
still here. The extent of the Tea Party influence is affected by the
public’s perception of how strong we are, and we’re trying to create
events to let people know that despite what the liberal media reports,
we’re growing, and we’re a force to be reckoned with.

I also want to tell you about the nationwide Flash Mob we’re
participating in. Glenn Beck has proposed that people take bags of
food to places where there are people in need on Thursday, April 21st,
so we’re doing this as a Tea Party project. We’re still making plans
about where to go, but we want to do three things: (1) Join this
nationwide effort to help others; (2) Let people see that the 9.12/Tea
Party is not only political, it is a good neighbor in the community
and is willing to help the less fortunate; and (3) try to encourage
the recipients and the general public to pay it forward. We are going
to notify the local media that we’re doing this so that they will
hopefully spread the word.
