I believe that China has a similar law and that's why many of their own people are starving- it's against the law to provide for yourself. It's hard to believe this would happen in America, no doubt- the politicians will try to sneak this bill into another 2,000+ page bill (that has nothing to do with food production or safety).  ---Subject: Article on S-510     Here is an article about a congressional bill that is criminal in its scope that would put all controls over food to the government, "Illegal to Grow, Sell Trade Homegrown Food."   http://www.rense.com/general91/dehe.htm   I've read articles about this bill before, and now that the executive branch of the gov't has hijacked health care, has nationalized the largest manufacturing businesses, has turned the financial systems into the reward mechanism for all orgs that supported the last election, and wants to control all energy production and distribution, and wants to tax the very air we breathe, now wants us to give them control over all the food we eat. This, of course, is supposed to be for our own good. And they want the fox (Monsanto) to guard the hen house.   Sorry about the rant, but this just boils my blood.   Marilyn
