Two-way Radios. 35-mile range for about $50. To cover the lack of cell
service.

I have a Garmin Rino 120 GPS/handheld radio.

Very handy and is compatible with other handhelds. Also can link Rinos
together and locate each other with GPS.

Actually, I have a Rino 120 and Rino 110. So, that should do us well.
Not sure if their range is 35 miles, but with the GPS aspects, that
should be helpful.

SAG better never be 35 miles away from the rider.

Handheld line-of-sight radios are tricky in the kind of terrain we'll be riding through... doesn't matter what their advertised range is.
