Hello -

This weekend turned out to be a memorable one for few teamswas friends, including myself. Around 8 teamswas members from our local Indian community participated in the Murfreesboro Half Marathon on Saturday morning. The weather was awesome and helped everyone have the best run of our running career.

After this run, I feel guiltless and very sore. How about you ?

The idea of 'guiltless weekend' is to encourage everyone to engage in some physical activity of our choice. Few people asked me that they engage in some activity during the weekdays but not on the weekend, and if they can still write to guiltless weekend email thread.

The answer is definetly YES. By writing your experience you are helping someone stay healthy and making a difference in our community.

Your activity can be playing tennis, volleyball, racquet ball, walking, swimming or biking. Please share with everyone.

If you are one of the few who feel guilty when reading this email, you can still reply. Be sure to mention your plans to become guiltless in the coming weeks.

Happy swasing..
Thanigs

First of all, Thanks to our leader Thanigs for starting this concept.
As far as the run is concerned, i had my best time. Thanks to the weather and the flat course.

Now i feel guiltless. But the story was little different around 9th mile. Around there, my legs started shivering and by 11th mile, i had minor cramps. From there onwards, i dragged myself to the finish line. I kind of expected that because i been guilty of not preparing enough.
Well, there will always be the next half-marathon to do better.

Check picture # 72 in the following gallery...It is Thanigs and Praveen

All in all, a very good weekend
Good to see you all again Swasies.

Congrats to all who took part in Mfbo run.  I saw Kishore and Pravin on Sunday and they recounted their experiences.

I have been hitting the gym and conditioning myself.  Running up to 6miles right now (twice a week).  It has been fun doing this.

Thanks for all the posting and news.

Keep it going.

P.S. Good pictures of Thanigs and Pravin from last weekend’s run. Kishore – thanks for sharing.

I had only worked out twice during the last week so it was good to run a 3.5 mile run on Sunday morning though it was a bit cool (around 49 F).

Hello,

The best part of the run is, we formed a group while running and we were running together till 5th mile. It was like our casual run in Shelby park. Thanigs and I were running entire race together and we were talking all time. I loved the run but is not dead flat surface (many killers).

Hope many of you can participate next year.

Hi all,
Congrats to all the Murfreesboro 1/2 marathon runners. The swas
team never fails to inspire me. Krishnan and I walked 6 mi on saturday
and did a 4.4 mile walk/run yesterday. Its really different running on
the road compared to any greenway.
IPhone uses, please let me know what app you use to track your run,
pace, miles. I tried "iMapmyRun" this weekend and was not very happy.

Cheers,
Shwetha

I am using "Trainer" application, it tracks the route and it holds the history. It also announces for every .1 miles. I am using "Lite" version since it is free. Good thing about this app is, I can play my songs in background and this app still alive. Most of them aren't this way. I get 2 things I wanted in 1.
