Hello Team Swas,

Writing this email from Las Vegas (yep in a meeting :) )

Today morning we ran a good six miles between the canyons. It is the most memorable run of my life.

I am guiltless now.

ya, sure Pravin.... you are in a "meeting". who is going to buy that?
You should be getting up with a good hangover right now!! But running
between the canyons does sound good
Enjoy your stay at Vegas.

Krishnan and I are keeping up a routine of 3 miles twice a week in the
weekdays.

Thanigs, I am giving you some company.
I only ran once(yesterday) in the past weekend.  And the result is it took me 28.21 to finish 2.8 mile hilly route....approx 2 minutes more than what i do normally.

"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" - Pravin, don't leak anything that happens in Vegas :)

I did a 8 mile this morning and feel guiltless. How about you ?

Mind and body can be trained to achieve anything. It just takes little positive reinforcement. I have been running 6 miles every weekend and trained my body and mind to the route and distance. To run the extra two miles today, I had to use little positive reinforcement to overcome the mental blockage and use my mental strength and not the body strength to finish the distance.
We all know that physical workout not only help us keep our body healthy but also build the mental strength to achieve anything in life. It just takes a little positive reinforcement.

Nandan - Good luck with your very first full marathon on the thanksgiving weekend.

I ran 6 miles on Friday and Sunday and five on Saturday.  We run every Saturday at Crockett Park at 8:00 and would love to have member of Team Swas join me.  We run five to six miles with breaks.

I did have a good week-end and I am happy with my weight this week-end.

Have fun.

Folks,

I have been very very guilty..but to decrease it i share my enthusiasm about running and came across a collegue who did a marathon (i never though he would ) ; two half marthons and one marathon in one 1.5 years (and all are his first time). He attributes it to the technique captured in the book link below (running + walking)

Thats it from my side.. happy running..

Thanks,
Chaitanya
