May 9th - Team Swas -Go to the Park- 9.00 pm @ Shelby Bottoms Park - Details

Hi!

 

Here we are....All Set and Go....for the May 9th event. Details are below:

 

• We will meet at Shelby bottoms park near downtown at 9.00 am on 05/09 (Saturday). Click the link for exact meeting point in the park. The link contains directions to the point from Hermitage.(attached a zoomed version of the meeting point)
• Members from Team Swas (Green T - shirts) will be present there and will advise you on the courses and general information about the park.
• Family and friends are welcome to attend, the park has safe surroundings for kids; we recommend supervision in the green way portion of the park.
• One can bike/walk/run in the course of their interest - There is no strict time line on the end time of the event.
• We plan to conduct a group stretch out around 10.00  am.
• Note:
• Nashville striders is conducting a 5K run from 7.30 am to 8.45 pm and you might see some restrictions if you happen to come early, Team Swas members would be able to guide you in that case. - Our earlier communication had 8.00 am and we changed it to 9.00 am

Hello Swassies,

                     I guess I am the newest member of the group. This was my very first marathon

 and didn't know what to expect. I was very exhausted during the last three miles

and could not tolerate the heat after having practiced in cold weather all along. Anyways

 it was a good experience.

   Regarding May 9th, I won't be able to make it as my elder son has a game that morning.

 My husband is one of the coaches. So I will have to look after my younger one.

So are we all set for seeing you tomorrow at 9.00 am @ Shelby bottoms (follow mail trail for details).

 

Hope to see you all... Rain or Shine we will be there ..it will be 77 out there so thats nice weather.. and if there rain lets have a rain dance ...just kidding.. there is only 40% chance of precipitation.

I had the most wonderful time that day. I invited another friend of mine, when I found out that they were doing art and craft. My kids made puppets, butterfly wings, watched a puppet show and did a puppet show.

 

I reached home at 4 PM.
