I did a 8 mile training run this morning. I feel guiltless. How about you ?

Thanigs

My motivation was my committment:

When I drove to the Hermitage greenways dam trail head this morning it was closed. It was a perfect excuse for me to go back home and have a 400 calorie breakfast, sit on the couch and watch Sunday program in SunTV. When I am almost convinced to go back home I remembered my committment to Pravin. I promised to run the half marathon with him on Oct 2nd in Murfreesboro and I need to do my training run this weekend. I drove to the Kohl's trail head and started my 8 mile run. Its has been few months since I ran 8 so I struggled a little. With a 9:30 min a mile pace I was able to finish the run. I am glad I did it.

What motivates you ?

Happy swasing...

Hey thanigs! Good to hear you are running well.

I am due to run the Dayton marathon on 19th Sept. Little undertrained because I was busy with Memphis indiafest last few months, but hopefully will pull off a decent finish .

Happy running!

First of all, I would like to congratulate Thanigs for doing outstanding job of motivating me. Thanks Thanigs. Guiltless concept is by itself motivating and Team Swas helps me to be motivated by sharing their experiences. Thanks team Swas.

As part of this week, my workout summary: 3 miles of tread mill run & 8 hours of tennis.

Cheers,
Team Swas.

Hi:

Compared to all you long distance runners I am just a backyard walker :)

This morning at 6:00 AM I ran behind our sub division along Sneed Road and then off to Pasquo Rd and back - it was 64 F, misty and nary a soul. Total of 3.5 miles. Earlier on Friday I did 28 laps in the poo l(~0.5 mile). A combination of cross trainer and swim makes my runs that much enjoyable.

Hi Swas:
Thanks to the guiltless weekend mails, Krishnan and I went on a 6 mile walk/run today morning. Other than that, we did a 4 mile and 5 mile walk/run in the week. Will have to catch up on the weekend workouts though.

Keep running,
Shwetha

Well, I just finished the 10K at Franklin Classic with time of 54:44. Not bad for 51 year old man.

Remember IAN Diwali on November 9th, more info at IANTN.org.
