Team Superior Reunion Picnic (and optional ride) for friends and family - September 30th

Hello to all Team Superior Friends and Family!
It’s been awhile since we have all been together. We have been thinking about having a Team Superior reunion. Just a casual get together somewhere along the trail to catch up.
Depending on how many come we may plan some short rides as well, but that would be totally optional.
Planning on Saturday, September 30th around 5pm. By then the weather should be perfect.
The team will provide Pizza and drinks (non-alcoholic). Open to all those who have ridden with us in the past, and their families.
Please respond if you would be interested, and based on how many come we will know how big a location to reserve.
Any questions please ask.

We have had a very positive response so I am going to officially say the picnic is a “GO”!
So far we already have over 30 coming.
I reserved a shelter at the Broken Arrow Events Park (The large park area across the Creek Turnpike from Northeastern State University). Riverparks doesn’t make it easy to reserve a shelter at Turkey Mountain or anywhere else in Tulsa, so it seems like the Events Park is the closest to the trail that I can reserve online and not worry about first come first serve. Plus it has bathrooms.
If anyone knows a better spot, or if they know any issues with the events park let me know and I can cancel the reservation up to 3 days in advance with no penalty.
The team will provide Pizza and Water/Soda. If you haven’t already RSVP’d then let me know by the 28th so we can make sure to order enough for everyone.

Reminder that our reunion is just 3 days away! Looking forward to seeing everyone at 5pm on Saturday.
I checked out our location today and it looks nice. It is a new shelter with picnic tables and there is a bathroom and playground very close. We are at Shelter 4, the one in the back in the picture below. The bathroom is the building on the right.
It is at the Broken Arrow Events Park just East of the Creek Turnpike near Northeastern State University. You can easily ride there from the trail. But please note you need to go in the second entrance to the park, not the main entrance closest to the turnpike. Here is a link to google maps and a screenshot of the location (red marker). Tulsa people would say go to 101st street and 215th east avenue. Broken Arrow people would say it’s at New Orleans and 41st street.
