Thank You Dave Stall for Inviting Team San Diego to KUSI!
Who: Team San Diego Teams, Mascots & Robots
What: KUSI-Channel 51 Television Appearance
Date: Saturday, April 19, 2014
Time: Arrival 7:00 a.m. "Teasers" may begin around 7:20 a.m.; go on live around 7:40 a.m.
Teams that want to demonstrate "working robots" should arrive around 6:45 am to set up.
Place: KUSI Station, 4575 Viewridge Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123
The Vision:
1) Teams in their team attire in the background for the "teasers"
2) Any FRC robots -- working robots for demonstration -- non-working robots for display
3) Mascots, banners, flags, pull-ups, tablecloths, visuals, poster boards, etc.
4) Bring your own tables from which to operate robots and visuals you want to display
5) 1-3 verbal and engaging students, each from a different team, to talk with Dave Stall during the segment
6) Primary Focus:
(a) Students talk about the recent SD FRC Competition and results and about the upcoming championship in Missouri;
(b) talk about gracious professionalism;
(c) have a particular story to tell about the San Diego Regional – something that will grab the heart of the TV audience and make the segment memorable and inspirational;
(d) talk about how robotics has changed your life and inspired you to pursue a particular career path;
(e) talk about the tremendous support sponsors have given us;
(f) thank Dave Stall for his on-going support;
(g) demonstrate the robots in action;
7) If Additional Segments: Showcase the robots – moving robots are really wanted! Tell stories of the heart!
Come on out and join in the fun! Let me know if your team is willing to participate and if you have a robot you want to showcase. We can have lots of students all lined up at the back of the patio in 2-3 lines!
The Unfolding Dream Continues,
