I’m sure everyone by now has heard about the passing of Karen Delaney, who was truly a pillar in Lake Placid and the North Country. I’m estimating that I met Karen around 2005, and as I think back over the years and races, I don’t think I ever saw her where she didn’t have a smile, a twinkle in her eye, and a kind word.

She was the nurse at NSA when I was in high school. My wife Tricia and I will be there to pay or respect on Saturday. I saw Colin yesterday at van ho he seemed to be doing ok.

Thank you for the update. 

I can’t attend because I am already committed to a fundraiser in memory of the young woman who flipped her car in Port Henry a few years back in freezing fog on that curve by the boat launch.

I was wondering how Collin was doing.  

I didn’t know Karen had been the nurse at NSA.
