Anyone using HRV regularly? If so, is it:

1. Any different than just tracking your HR, seeing your HR not go up, and knowing based on HR that it’s not there today
2. Worth the cost of whatever device you’re using?

If so, what device and app are you using and how easy / transparent is it to use?

Cheers,

Jason

Hello! My chiropractor in Vermont has tested my HRV, and after some visits it did change slightly over time, which meant my body was able to handle and recover from stress more quickly- its a method of recording how you manage your heart rate (external stressors in particular) as opposed to purely tracking BPM.  My Garmin Watch App tracks HRV, it's easy to understand and I have never used it. My Chiropractor literally had me sit in a dark room with a heart rate monitor on for 3 minutes to test it. I don't think its something you need to monitor on a daily basis.
Yoga and meditation are the best way to keep stress under control though and it does help reduce stress triggers.
my two cents!
