Gentle (or maybe not so gentle) reminder that the deadline to register for the Team Dai Challenge 2017 is TODAY!
If you haven’t done so already, please send Maarten your registration form as soon as possible!
If you want to join but are not sure yet if you’re actually able to make it, register anyway, with a note that the you will confirm later. The most urgent thing is to have the final jersey list as the order needs to go out very soon now. Also, knowing how many people approximately we can expect helps us with planning logistics.
I’ve just registered myself. Don’t wait any longer!

Subject: Team Dai Challenge registration
Dear All,
I would like to remember you that the registration for the Team Dai Challenge 2017 is open.
This year we will be supporting Quality of Life association in Xiengkhouang.
We will cycle in 5 days approximately 600km through the North of Laos. The route will be Vientiane-Long san- Long Chien - Phonsavan - Phou Khoun- Luang Prabang and will contain both paved and gravel roads.
The challenge will take place from the 8th till the 12th of March.

To register for the challenge fill out the registration form, jersey order form and fill in the waiver and return them to mve...@hotmail.com
This year we will also need a copy of you passport. This is needed because we will go through Long Chien.
If you register for the challenge you also commit yourself to:
-Regularly training with Team Dai (a training schedule will follow later)
-Making an effort towards the fund-raising element of the Challenge
-Paying the participation fee.
Jerseys:
All riders will receive ONE jersey (the cost for this is included in the participation fee). Riders can order more than one jersey at a cost of $30/Jersey. Non riders can order a jersey at $40/jersey (all the profit will go to Quality of Life association).
Information on the sizes is on the jersey order form. If you are unsure about the size, please ask one of our riders who has a jersey from previous years to try the size
This year we will also have long sleeve jerseys available the price is the same as for the short sleeve jerseys. (The first jersey for the riders is included this can be a short or long sleeve jersey).
Participation Fee
The participation fee is estimated to be between $180 and $200 depending on the total amount of riders.*
The participation fee includes: an event jersey, accommodation and meals during the days of the ride and support consisting of a vehicle + crew and drinks, fruit and snacks during the ride.
3 day or 5 day
This year we will ride for 5 days, but there is also an option for 3 days. You can ride the first three days 8th till 10th of March and return to Vientiane from Phonsavan.
We will plan to be on time in Phonsavan to give people the option to take a flight that same day.
The rest of the group will go to Quality of Life Association to do a cheque handover.
Registration death line
The registration death line is set at the 31ste of January. The main reason for this is the jersey order we need to send the order to the producer on time to make sure that the jersey are in Vientiane at the start of the challenge. If you are unsure if you want to join or unsure if you want to do 3 or 5 days you can send in you registration later, or let me know that you are unsure, but if you want a jersey make sure you send the jersey form in on time.

Hi all,
Good news: 18 riders have already registered for the Team Dai Challenge 2017! However, we are aiming for at least 20, with a maximum of around 25, and so there are a few spots left.
For people who missed the 31 January deadline, we have extended the registration to Saturday 4 February 2017. On Sunday, we will prepare the jersey order and send it out to the manufacturer. So in case you haven’t registered yet, do it now!
Again, as mentioned earlier, if you’re not 100% sure you will be able to make it, but are seriously trying to free up your work schedule or convince family to let you join ☺, register anyway to secure your jersey and include a note that you will have to confirm later.
