QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"I would advise young engineers to never let ANYONE tell you 'you can’t' do something. You may be told you 'think wrong,' or you ‘aren’t good enough,’ but you are the only one who can stop you. Thinking different changes the world. We must embrace the difference." — Carrie Rhoades, NASA flight systems engineer

STEM in the News
Where do robots go when they retire? Here is how one cool cockroach escaped the basement.
CELEBRATION and SHOUT-OUTS
What was your most impressive achievement in the Robot Game this year?
Did your Project give you a glimpse of what you might want to be when you grow up?
How have the Core Values affected your team experience?
Our season is almost done, but these lessons will stay with you for the rest of your lives. Pretty cool, huh? But we have a huge favor to ask! Tell us #whatIlearned -- Use a whiteboard or write it down on an index card and then snap a photo. Make this a group effort or show us what each team member learned. Tweet your snaps to us at @firstlegoleague. Or, send them via email to fll-...@firstinspires.org.
Special shout-out
A shout-out to The Oscars of Richland, Washington, USA. Their message to not recycle trash in Richland has resonated throughout the city, including city hall. After an invitation to present their project in City Council meeting, a second invitation was issued to have them come back. The city planned to film and photograph their message to use in its upcoming recycling campaign. Their Project was not over at
the end of their state competitions, but instead has been implemented far beyond their first intended neighbors.
What has YOUR team been doing as this season comes to a close? Be proud to make it loud and tell us all about what you've been doing with a tweet to @firstlegoleague. Or, shoot us an email at fllt...@firstinspires.org. Then watch this space. Next time, we may be shouting out to YOU!
Hip-Hip-Hooray for sponsors
