For those that did not see the fb post:
We REALLY need to make our feeding schedule for the fall! I was thinking of a new method that pretty much every job I had this summer used. (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS PRELIMINARY! Any feedback would be great but we need something STRUCURED!) We would sign up on a monthly basis since everyone pretty much knows all their commitments for the following month. This means we would sign up for October shifts the second to last week of September. I made a google doc with every date in September, and what we would do right now since we are not together in person is have a priority system. This means you would look at the google doc and sign up for multiple dates with your name followed by either a 1,2, or 3. 1= I would really, REALLY PREFER this date; 2= I am available and willing to do this date; 3= I am available, but would rather be a secondary. Sign up for as many dates as possible so I have many options as I make the schedule (I would say at least have your name down 3 times for every week). In terms of weekends, I feel like everyone should have one weekend shift per month, and 1 Saturday every 2 months. We should have one primary and one secondary everyday. The main reason for the secondary is for emergencies, as it was this summer. Which brings me to my next point on not being able to feed. I thought this protocol would work well (it’s also on the google doc):
1) Ask for a SWAP first. You MUST offer some flexibility. i.e. "hey guys I cant feed this thursday, i can swap for the 3rd, 5th, 10th, 13th, and 22nd".
2) If an emergency comes super last minute, it will probably go to the secondary person, but you will have to have some penalty. This might mean an extra feeding shift or two for the current month or the next month or something else the team decides together.

Let me know what you guys think! And if this is something you like, please fill this out ASAP so I can make the schedule before September starts!! I know some things are still up in the air but hopefully we can see if this works
