Apply for the 2011-12 AICPA Scholarships
The American Institute of CPAs is excited to announce that accounting students can now apply online for the AICPA scholarships. No more mailing forms or misplacing the applications. Applying is simple: just fill out a scholarship application online at ThisWaytoCPA.
To achieve its goal of strengthening the future of the CPA profession, the AICPA offers three key scholarship programs:
• AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship – Offered to liberal arts and non-traditional business degree holders who are pursuing both graduate studies in accounting and the CPA license. Awards of $5,000
• AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship – Provides financial assistance to outstanding accounting students who demonstrate potential to become leaders in the CPA profession. Awards of $2,500
• AICPA Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students – Extended to outstanding minority accounting students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their entry into the profession. Awards of $3,000
AICPA scholarship recipients represent the top accounting students in the country. Selections are based on academic excellence; demonstration of leadership and volunteerism; and an overall commitment to becoming a licensed CPA professional.
Applying is simple! Students can apply online at ThisWaytoCPA . The deadline is April 1, 2011.
