Unable to ping to default gateway to satisfy HA agent requirement

Dear All,

In New India Bank, they have disabled the ping to their default gateway because of which there vmware HA is not working.

I have find the solution for the same.

We need to ask vmware ha agent to ping a different ip other than gateway to get the HA work.

You need to go cluster > HA > advance settings where you need to specify the following parameters as per the KB

if your gateway rejects pings you can disable the usage of the gateway as an isolation address. Add the following advanced settings to fix this:

das.usedefaultisolationaddress --> value = false
das.isolationaddress --> value = IP Address of pingable device, preferably a gateway / switch etc.
