CCG thoughts/friendly reminder

All,

I'm not exactly sure where the time has gone as the ride is tomorrow and all of the rain on Saturdays did not help my training efforts!

Regarding tomorrow, I wanted to provide some logistics to all:

• Opening ceremonies start at 7:15am.  We plan to get to the BCBS parking lot around 6am. Since we have priority parking, look for the black Q8 Audi with license plate BIKEMS.
• Packet pick-up is Saturday morning for those who did not opt to go to early pick-up.  Keep in mind that you need to be at the minimum fundraising goal to pick everything up.
• The society opted to not do numbers on helmets this year (just numbers on our jerseys). Not sure why, but no reason to be concerned when you cannot find your helmet sticker.
• Since we are one of the top teams, we will have a team banner in the bike corral.  If you happen to not find us at our car, plan to meet there prior to opening ceremonies.
• We have two massage therapists for our team tent at Mass Maritime.  They volunteer their time and work for tips.  Plan to bring $40 cash to support them.  We really want them to come back next year!!
• Remember to bring some type of bedding for the dorm.  The mattress is vinyl  lined. Will also want to bring towel/shower supplies for the end of each day.
• Ferry ride back on Sunday might be cooler than normal - dress appropriately.
• Charge electronics and bike (if needed).  Don't forget charging cords and spare batteries if you have them.
• In case of rain, we will have some plastic baggies for phones if you happen to forget yours.
• We have a team tent at Mass Maritime (essentially near 2nd base on the ball field).  Nathan and I are dropping off drinks (beer, wine and water) and snacks for all.
• Call Nate at 508-254-1899 tomorrow morning if you are having trouble finding us.

I am so excited about the ride and humbled at the effort everyone has put in for fundraising efforts.  We currently stand in 4th place because of all of you!!

I hope that you guys have an amazing ride. I rode with Everest for about 20 years but feel like I’ve aged out at 75.  Covid put an end to this.  My grandson is looking to ride with TE next year. I wanted to cheer you guys on along Rockland street this year with Pat(our groupie). Unfortunately I have to go to a funeral for an old friend.   I will be thinking about you this weekend. Keep the rubber side down.  Stay safe and enjoy how special TE has always been

Good morning everyone!!

We are lucky where the society has a donor that will match online donations to riders until 7/28.  We are less than $1000 away from getting a bigger tent next year for our growing team!  We all have done an incredible job in fundraising but maybe we can find a little more to get us over that hurdle???  I know I'm going to try!!

Thanks again for all of your efforts.  I can't wait for next year!!
