I had an interesting Twitter convo last week with Raymond Camden. I expressed that I'd like to see some changes in CFLib.org. I hadn't intended this but I kind of sounded like I was complaining.

His response was perfect I thought. I paraphrase here, "sure I'm open to your ideas, but I expect if you're serious you'll help implement."

I loved how he positioned the conversation. If I truly believe my ideas will improve the product and benefit the community, I better be willing to take action. Otherwise the truthfulness of my claim is suspect.

So let that be a call to arms for you as well. Many of us have great ideas; be bold and present them. Take action for the benefit of the CFML community and by extension yourself.

That is true Ryan.  Dont come up with an idea (not just in the CFML community but in life in general) and then sit back and see if it can be done.  Get in, be ready to make it live!
