Guess the recipients of Core group are at the moment - Tanmay da / Sarada di, Arun / Ishita, Prantik / Chaitali, Abhijit / Pushpa, Saurav / Akshatha.

Dear all

I was thinking about a few aspects of CBC functioning and felt like sharing with you all. We need to distinguish between what we really need to get involved in e.g. end-to-end CBC (e.g. Saraswati Puja), embedded CBC (e.g. participating in LSU under CBC banner). When i say end-to-end, it involves logistics, communication, collections etc etc while embedded refers to only a few members participating in an external event for various reasons e.g. establishing CBC's link with outside world, advertising CBC capabilities or just for sheer joy :).

Now, how many end-to-end events can we handle apart from Saraswati puja ? Mahalaya was another mini end-to-end event which kind of just happened without the level of engagement that we usually have in Saraswati puja. Guess we have to encourage more embedded CBC events with limited involvement of core group here (just to see if things are on track). More embedded events seems to be a sustainable way to maintain momentum rather than taking up more end-to-end events.

Just a thought !

Cheers
Saurav

In our current shape, I personally feel, we should do only one end-to-end event - i.e., Saraswati Puja, and do it really well.

Joining hands with other organisations that provide us the platform to showcase our talent is a very good way to keep things ticking throughout the year, without over engaging ourselves.

I think we have limited options at this stage and would agree with Saurav in his ideas about doing more embedded events.

Regards,
Arun
