Regarding Sponsorship

Should we approach ad agency ?
we can tell them we have ad space in banner......
they will have readymade clients and can tap corporates faster.

Before going for sponsorship, i think it is better to have a list in
place and put in our network, if we have any friends, relatives
working there , then we might get sponsorship bcoz of recommendation

Check if any seniors working in companies in kerala can give links for
sponsorship


I was discussing the sponsorship with strategic brand management
faculty satish sir, he gave following suggestion :


While going for sponsorship make sure you tell :
1. number of people expected
2. the sponsorship opportunities
3. the press coverage
4. costs

Meet companies that are targeting students - telecom, retail,
confectionery etc.

Idea, docomo, airtel, levi, department stores, musicworld, brands that
target students and youth

u just have to excite the companies by saying u r expecting so many
people
that u r planning press coverage maybe u should get a media partner
like business line
get a senior correspondent placed in kochi to be the chief guest or
judge for one event
that would ensure coverage good it would be even better if u could get
TV
am sure tv would cover then approach tv companies
news channels national and malayalam

Nirmal,
Your idea of getting sponsors through ad agency is good but we are very late and I don't think its not even possible as most of the companies might have finished their budget on advertising. If it happens I would say its a miracle. try to collect the money as early as possible.
