So pleased to be part of this group. Here in North Carolina - and
nationally and globally - we are striving to overcome disparities in
health practices. My group, the Carolina Global Breastfeeding
Institute is particularly interested in the reproductive health
continuum - from pre pregancy to inter-pregnancy interval -
emphasizing breastfeeding and the importance of an adequate birth
interval. This is an area of great disparities that impact the health
of the mother and child.

In class, we look at numbers a lot, but we need to be more creative in
supporting the underserved in these socially "delicate" areas.

Any one out there wanting to chat on this?

Hello Miriam,
We have a Center for Premature Infant Health and Development here at
SC--I would be happy to share your information with the group if you
are interested.
Peace and be well
