I'm delighted that Emma Quayle is joining this group. Emma helped me a
great deal with research for the second edition of my book, works with
the UK's Noise Abatement Society (who are doing some great things
around sound education) and is a passionate advocate of conscious
listening and teaching listening. I've asked Emma to be more active
than I'm being able to (with all my current traveling) - and I'm sure
she'll be able to help move this whole conversation forward as we all
want it to.

I've mostly been quiet in the group so far, but I am reading and thinking about my contribution to the whole discussion around listening. Please don't read my apparent lack of engagement so far as lack of interest! I'm listening.
