At a May 2013 presentation in Green Bay, WI, Dr Allington cited some evidence regarding the effectiveness of Turtle Talk vs. some canned phonics program. I didn't write down any specific evidence he cited, but would love to have it heading into the upcoming school year. I am seeing lots of teachers finding cute things from various sharing boards that are pretty heavy in working with nonsensical words, and would love to steer them in the Turtle Talk direction. I would love to have the data to support the Turtle Talk as I appeal for our K teachers to give this a try. Hoping someone can post some kind of data I can use to encourage teachers to give this a shake. Thanks!
