telling them about the geography of India, we could find a large map of india may be in hss dept, or PRO not sure
and not just show them but ensure that they retain some part of it by asking them to maybe redraw it 

but last time we realized that they did not know where different states in india lied

          We can also interest them with telling them about some interesting speciality of the state, maybe dance, or food, or clothing, or some very famous monuments etc...
          I won't be able to come this week because we have STUDe club ki techskills workshop on saturday and sunday from 9-5. :-(

The map idea has somewhat already been done b4
We need more ideas that can be implemented both in long and short run.
