Reminder: Free Arduino for Educators classes in San Francisco (Treasure Island), Sundays, 11AM - 2 PM

The next class is this Sunday, July 7, at 11AM. This will be the last
class of the series.

In this class I would like to follow your interests and wishes. We could
talk about the specifics of teaching with and about Arduino; we could
discuss lesson plans and materials. We could talk about advanced
programming and electronic concepts. We could talk about which sensors
and actuators work well with Arduino, or we can talk about specific
projects.

What are you interested in learning in our remaining 3 hours?

If you missed the first few classes, don't worry. The class is small
enough that I can work with you to help you catch up.

A series of free Arduino classes targeted at educators, driven by
teacher's needs.

What do you need to know? Do you need to first learn Arduino yourself,
or do you want to be taught specific lesson plans that you can take
directly to your students?

The plan below is quite ambitious but is intended to give you ideas. I
will select from this based on class interest:

June 9 - Introduction and installation, basic electronics, analog and
digital inputs and outputs, solderless breadboard

June 16 - Sensors and Actuators: How to read from different types of
sensors, how to control multiple LEDs and motors

June 23 - Arduino cooperating with a program on your laptop: Processing
or Python, (or spreadsheets, if you have a Leonardo). Graphing results
from sensors.

June 30 - Shields, networks, motor controllers, interrupts and timers

July 7 - What do you want?

Bring:

* Your laptop and Arduino, and any electronic bits you want to play
with. I have a some laptops and Arduinos to lend, and I can provide the
solderless breadboards and basic electronic components

* Download and attempt to install the Arduino IDE
