We are organizing the Arduino booth at Maker Faire San Mateo and we
are looking for volunteers for May 15th, 17th and 18th.
We are sending out this call for volunteers to all of you who have the
interest, experience and enthusiasm to teach, engage with the public,
and share your own projects.
We are not looking for a sales people. We are looking for educators,
artist, designer, makers, and Arduino aficionados. This is a non-paid
call; however we know that your time is valuable and it is appreciated.
We will provide water, healthy snacks, a T shirt, entry to the event
when you volunteer for four hours or more and a small gift bag
(distributed at the end of your shift).
You should have basic knowledge of Arduino, basic knowledge of
electronics, and most importantly, know how to relate to the public.
If you wish to volunteer, tell us about yourselves via the questionnaire
at
http://bit.ly/PGJPHe <
http://bit.ly/PGJPHe>, including a brief
description of yourself or a link to your online presence. Completing
the questionnaire automatically enters you in our database of volunteers.
After you submit your answers we will contact you with a meeting day
for all volunteers at our workshop studio in Treasure Island, SF. We
will talk about your responses to the questionnaire and you will have
the opportunity to meet each other before the event. We will provide
some snacks and refreshments.
We have created a Volunteer's Manual as a guide to the expectation of
the position with Arduino. Please read the material here:
