I'm giving a talk [1] in about 2 weeks on the power and opportunities for semantic computation in biodiversity science.

Part of my goal with this talk is present some idea of the "frontiers" in deploying ontologies, computational reasoning, and related technologies in biodiversity science. I'd be grateful if you could share projects or endeavors that you're aware of (or participate in) that could serve as illustrative or otherwise interesting examples. I'm particularly interested in projects aiming towards scientific discovery. (Phenoscape would be one example, but obviously I'm well aware of that.)

Thanks much for any suggestions and/or pointers.
