Hey Guys

1. Do we care?
2. I think the one training session was today? :/
3. Do we want to pass this on to our members or just mention it at the next meeting?

Kind regards

To Whom It May Concern,

The African Union Student Alliance sends its warmest greetings.

As part of mission to promote the values and work of the African Union and to educate young people on issues of socio-political and economic significance affecting the continent. The African Union Student Alliance(AUSA) will be holding its first Model African Union Debate on the 9th of May 2015 from 0930-1330, in Law 1-30.1 although there may be a change in venue. A light lunch will be served with an opportunity for network afterwards.

Model African Union is a simulated debate platform in which student can get a glimpse of what it is like to be a head of state, ambassador or leader of a technical grouping within the African institutional context. The theme for the debate will be "Measures To Respond to Increased Terrorist Activities In Africa" which is something that is very relevant given the recent attacks in Kenya, Nigeria and parts of North Africa.

AUSA would therefore like to cordially invite you to participate in this debate. Though it will be competitive, it will also serve as a beginner's debate. It is an opportunity for your members to broaden their horizons and debate within the African institutional context.

In preparation for the debate, AUSA will be conducting "crash" training sessions next week on Tuesday and Thursday from 1030-1230. If you wish to participate kindly email your first and second choice for the debate.

Kindly find attached the topic pack for the debate, as well as the MAU handbook for your reference.

Kind Regards

Tawanda Matanda

1. From a society perspective it probably doesn't mean much - we could potentially ask them to send out our stuff to their members but I'm not certain that's particularly useful, understanding their past leadership structures.
2. I could do training if people from our side want it.
3. Probably just mention it.

Anyone else, thoughts?
