Greetings to all Hashers around the world, in this joyful and festive
season.
As we wrap up 2024, I want to wish you all . . . (in no particular order):
HAPPY . . . Chalica, Bodhi, Salgirah, Lucia, Saturnalia, Modraniht, Pancha
Ganapati, Yule, Dongzhi, Newtonmas, Kwanzaa, Koliada, Boxing Day, Hanukkah,
Hogmanay, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

WOW . . . 2024 is already coming to a close, this year went by so fast.
The world is coming back to life, and has mostly transitioned out of the
COVID era of 2020-2023. Although we lost a few clubs during this era, many
have since come back to life, and roughly 25 new clubs have popped up around
the world since 1 Jan 2021. This also means it is time to do a website wide
update of all hashing clubs contact details. See the left side of
http://gotothehash.net . . . under CONTACT LINKS. If any of this info is
out of date, please let me know and we’ll make it easier for traveling
hashers to find you (if you want visitors that is). 😊
Speaking of visitors . . . there are 10 events listed coming up in
February, so you have a month or more to figure things out and get signed
up. More events are being added to the 3 year calendar every month.

You may have already seen this request for information, but this is coming
from the HHH Museum in Kuala Lumpur needs your help:
As an active Hash House Harrier your feedback is required. If you can spare
five minutes of your time to complete our short ‘Hash Museum Insights
Survey’ it would be very much appreciated. By completing the survey, you
will be entered into a draw to WIN return flights to K.L. or cash equivalent
to the value of USD 1000. Closing date for entries is January 31st 2025.

Many clubs have dropped off the radar, switching to WhatsApp to distribute
hash run details. This leaves visitors out in the cold unless they can get
added. Other options have included Instagram, Facebook, and a handful of
others. Now Meetup may be a thing of the past . . .
Meetup has been used by many hash clubs around the world, but I recently
noticed while figuring how I was going to join the hash in Santiago, Chile
. . . that Meetup is now a subscription service, charging USD $10 per month,
or $85 annually. While you can still see events as a guest, every click to
find more info requires an account. Maybe causing some ripples throughout
the hash world.

The history of the HHH is fascinating to me, but also troublesome. The
information in many cases has not been recorded, but also can sometimes hard
to find. A couple hashers have reached out to me since publishing this one,
to provide updates. So if this one interests you, please read it again as
several substantive edits have been made.
Also, I could use some more help . . . The following 12 hash clubs have no
date of conception in the HHH Genealogy:

I have had the great pleasure to have spent the past month in South America
visiting Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, and Chile. Just collecting the last
