First, I'm posting a preliminary "Crew Database" to the files
section. It includes some basic information about the crew members
that are defined so far. A few have "incomplete profile" next to
their names, which means I haven't actually created even a basic
character sheet for them yet. If you'd like more information on any
of these NPCs, or would like to put together a sheet for them, just
let me know. This will likely update frequently over the next few
days as I put together more information, so if you need a particular
piece of information and it's not in your copy of the file, be sure to
check for a newer copy.

I've got a few more things to post around the current action, but
we're getting close the end of this part of the story. In addition to
wrapping up a few loose ends, this is also a great time for someone to
switch to a new character if they're not happy with the way their
character is working out. I can pick up the existing character as an
NPC to avoid any continuity issues. Any change in characters would
need to be coordinated with the planning teams mentioned below so that
we're creating characters that are going to have something to do.

As the current activities wrap up, we're going to jump ahead in the
story about two months to the point where data starts coming back from
the sensor drone that was launched. This would also put the ship
about two months out from Ceti Alpha, and about two week from the
start of deceleration. At a minimum, I'd like to get a log entry for
anyone who hasn't already posted one that covers some or all of the
action up to this point. I'd also like to get an additional log entry
that occurs at some point during the two months that the ship is just
coasting.

Think about daily routines, studying, etc. There is a form in the
book as well as online that covers a lot of the potential items that
would take up your time in between adventures. You can download the

A few people have specific requirements for their time during this
period.

Dr. Canada and Emma Pope will both be working on her recovery, with
other tasks as time allows. Based on a quick look at the BioTech
book, the surgery to save Emma's hand likely took about 6 hours, and
will allow her to recover in four weeks rather than four months.

The Major is also going to want a team working on a plan of action for
determining the habitability of Ceti Alpha II on arrival. This will
need to include necessary skills or occupations, a list of crew
members that may need to be revived on arrival, and a list of
resources that may be necessary.

A second team should be working on a fallback plan. If Ceti Alpha II
turns out to be uninhabitable for some reason, what is the next best
option? And what would the crew need to carry out the fallback plan?

In both cases, I'll be working to provide NPCs as needed, additional
sensor data, etc, but I'd like the plans to be driven by the players.

The Major is also going want that "goddamned jungle off of my ship",
and eventually he's going to find out there's a crazy person locked in
a cargo room.

With all that in mind, start sending me your ideas, or send them to
the whole group if that makes more sense. I'll start putting
everything together. I'm also going to provide a short summary of the
story so far once we finish wrapping everything up. Just a few high
levels details to go in the welcome message on the website so that new
players have some idea of what's going on.
