Exam from VT13 - mailing list exercise

I have put up the exam paper from last year's course on the webpage: http://www.cse.chalmers.se/edu/course/TDA357/VT2014/exam/tenta-VT13.pdf

We will use this exam as the basis for demonstrating how to solve exam questions, here on this list. I will post the questions from it, each block as a separate topic thread. We encourage you to try and solve these questions by yourselves, and we give you a chance to get feedback. Post your solution attempts in response to each question to the respective thread for that block. During next week, we (me and the assistants) will comment on each submitted solution as if we were grading it. We will also, after some time has passed, give an example solution to each question, including commentary on how to approach it and how to think during solving it.
