Hi all,
Extending an invite to check out our Minnesota Chapter of American Fisheries Society (MN AFS) conference, 3 days/2 nights coming up end of Feb in Brainerd this year. Anyone interested in fisheries science may attend – see link below – this could be a great way to learn more about fisheries management, get students interested in fish science, network with aquatic folks, and support our chapter. As the chapter president-elect for 2024, I’m heading up the plans for this conference so I’m excited about it, and hoping to extend our reach beyond the usual university groups, LGOs, and state employees. If you haven’t heard of us before but you are involved with fishing outreach or fish management at all, I hope you’ll consider checking it out! We have a conference ~every February, rotating locations around the state.
The abstract submission deadline has passed, but conference registration is open until Feb 15th, and hotel reservation block rooms are open until Feb 9th. I’m happy to answer any questions. Both my City of Eagan email and my MN AFS email are listed here; either is ok to contact.
Thanks!
Jessie
