An amazing public panel focuses on issues of white supremacy and
transphobia in relation to the case of CeCe McDonald, a local
African-American transgender woman who's being targeted for prosecution
after surviving a racist, transphobic assault (more at
http://supportcece.wordpress.com/).
Andrea Jenkins, a community activist, award-winning writer, poet and
playwright; Rose Brewer, a renowned scholar/activist deeply involved in
struggles for social transformation; and, Michael Friedman, the executive
director of the Legal Rights Center, which is representing CeCe, share
thoughts relating to CeCe's impending trial (currently scheduled for April
30).
