Hi All,
We had a meeting of TC held on Sunday in which the following was discussed….
1. Amit will get the demand letter drafted, Jito will get it printed (thanks Jito :-)) and Pawan will get them distributed over the next weekend.
2. Sachin to send the letter to Rawat as a follow-up on April 21st meeting
3. Sachin to coordinate with Pooja to get Legal Letter and to circulate and finalize
4. Maniesh to get the draft of the FAQ done and circulated to us.
Other points discussed…
1. Hiring of Estate Manager finalized
2. Bank account opened
3. Square Footage area data done to ~99% accuracy and sent
Please feel free to add anything that I might have missed.
Thanks
Sachin
Dear Sachin,
More than happy on getting them printed. No worries on that J
Along with the demand letter we must also attach a note on how the account is to be operated and the fund managed.
Furthermore, to get the maximum positive response, I would strongly suggest that we hold back circulating the demand letter till we complete 2 things :
i) Publish the Statement of Accounts
ii) Aggressively follow up on the AOA membership recruitment and cross a target that we set for ourselves, eg 250 members (Thanks Sachin for what you sent out earlier on the AOA membership; really appreciate that and I hope this would bring the community together now quickly)
My fear is, if we do not get the above 2 completed prior to the letter being circulated, it would trigger a flurry of mails which would digress from the collection and cascade into a very different and aggressive conversation thereby diluting the whole purpose and lead to minimal result.
Warm regards,
Jito
Jito,
I agree that we need to do the underlined points but need to delink the 2 activities. The statement should be published ASAP.
Thanks
Sachin
Dear Sachin,
I am afraid that even if we do delink the two, the community won’t (I guess I’ll fall in that category as well). Currently there is a concern around effective, responsible and transparent management of funds by the AOA and unless we address that, the support would be diluted, which in itself would undermine the initiative and make it a failure. The question is ability and not ethics so don’t get me wrong. We need to resolve such issues at the core, otherwise we won’t succeed.
We are in a rush to get things moving and I am with you on that. However, we need to figure out which are the critical ones to move on first.
Warm regards,
Jito
