Dear Rajnish and Jito

During our TC meeting yesterday I found out that Rajnish and Jito has already paid this quarter’s CAM charges to Unitech. Jito – please confirm if you too have paid directly to Unitech if not then I would humbly apologize for assuming so. I would also request any other member who has paid directly to openly inform the TC.

We agreed unanimously in our TC meeting in March to NOT to pay to Unitech and to pay to AOA. This means that each of us was convinces that this was the right thing to do. I am not able to understand why some members would go behind the back of TC to pay to Unitech.

Either the gentlemen today believe that paying to Unitech is the right thing, if so then please share your view and convince us also. Or if it is otherwise then the TC should decide how should we move forward with such serious conflict of interest in thoughts and actions.

Regards

Pawan, choose your words carefully. I have personally informed Sachin of my decision for this quarter. I do not believe in playing games so my actions are always up for everybody to see. In a meeting when you were fixing your AC and missed the session, I had communicated the same to Amit and Maniesh as well.

As far as the reason is concerned, I expect the preparations are done and credibility of AOA ensured before I pay the CAM charges to them. Along with the particular decision a number of other decisions were also taken. I hope you understand that they are all interlinked and very few of those has seen the light of day even now.

Sorry Pawan, I am not one of those that follow or flounder around blindly. There are enough action points that need to be executed seamlessly before we are in a position to collect the CAM charges  and maximise the numbers paying AOA.

Right now, we don't need cowboys but mature people with a level head if we are to take over the transition successfully. Please note the operative word for me is 'successfully' for you it might be 'takeover'. All the more reason why divergent points of view are discussed and the best plan devised.

I am very much okay this being discussed at the next meeting and see where that discussion leads.

Warm regards,
Jito

If you had informed Sachin then it is my oversight that I assumed and I apologize for that.

If this was brought to the notice of TC, was it agreed that paying to Unitech is OK for even the TC members? Somehow it doesn't reflect well on the unity of the team.

BTW - I choose to ignore the sarcasm and instigating points and only respond to relevant discussion points in order to stay focussed on the issue at hand.

Pawan,

A simple request, there is no need to be so disrespectful and aggressive with your fellow committee members.

I have been a strong supporter of moving away from Unitech and not just now but for the last 3 years and even when it was a different AoA.

However, I as a principle do not believe in not paying my dues. I have been paying Unitech on time every month/quarter for the last 3 years and will continue to do so till I start paying AoA, which I am sure will happen as and when AoA is ready.

Please do not use phrases like "behind our back" "conflict of interest" as you well know thats not the case. No point in letting emotion cloud one's judgement in such  matters.

Transition is not about getting some funds through a demand note. To be truly successful in our efforts we will need to build consensus, carry diverse views along, get enough support and heft of residents behind us. CAM is the end product which will flow in. Example of TCN is there for us to see, they are very united, have followed a good process of getting DTCP support their cause and have then moved swiftly to execute.

I hope you understand me better now.

regards,
Rajnish

This is the undercurrent I was talking about , on one hand we as Transition team are paying Unitech and on the other we are propogating a take over

Jito: considering you levied a charge on a fellow members wife as conflict ane explained to me what the definition of that term is, does this not fit into that category

Rajnish: Really , I did expect something but not to this extent

You have a favourite statement of the emotion getting better than this and getting better than that, I would say simply this committe is compromised and people with duality should not have a double life or have a double intent.
Also Rajnish you knew the status of the bank account opening at every stage

either we have intent of integrity or re constitute this compromised group

Enough of this corporate diplomacy.

Dear Aviral, your enthusiasm on taking the money into AOA come what may is commendable. I hope the same enthusiasm comes to the fore on the preparation, compliance and process part of it.

Warm regards,
Jito

Aviral,

"Compromised" in this context would mean you have people in the committee clandestinely working for the other party, which means Unitech in this case. I would request you to reconsider your choice of words.

The level of this discourse is now going down and runs the risk of becoming uncivilized hence, I don't intend to respond to any more mails on the subject.

I firmly believe in good governance, building consensus and robust processes and let me assure you I won't compromise on these. I see a desire to have a pliable committee but to borrow from Sachin's phrase used in a different context - that's not a luxury we can have.

Regards
Rajnish

Rajnish

I have been a patient observer in this matter and also choose not to take this forward. Paying Unitech after a Trainsition and AOA agreement NOT TO PAY is no longer a clandestine operation for the other party, it is a clear distinction between word and action

My mind would say " Can we trust you" if you had to pay wh not pay after circulating an e mail on your opinion

You have the audacity of voicing you opinion to the society at large on AOA functoning, but do not have the basic courtsey of social information when we are litigating

I deny your request for the choice of words I have used and have been kind in words and not actions

Your sense of good governance is only limited to writing emails and creating perceptions , not in action or deed or intent.

Civility was lost amogst us quite some time back and your actions go beyind reasond of civility

I wonder how you have the heart to sit with us when in relaity you have paid UNITECH . I am least bothered about your payment, what I am really astonished is that we talk of conflict on interest and compromise and other such matters  and raise fingers on others when in relaity we may be someone else in disguise.

My reaons and rationals are correct and I am a team player till the end , whether we have good days or bad days , not an individualistic person who does not stand by people or a group or a team for individual gain
