Visit to Shop

Hi All,

I visited our shop for three days during swapnil's mairrage (24th, 25th, 26th Jun) and found several things that we lack in our shop. Initally i prepared a list of all items but it seems most of us have prepared a list but never taken any action. So i have decided to work on those list and make some changes in the shop.

As you all are aware that our shop is still in loss and our revenue is still quite low. So definetly we will have to improve from here otherwise we wont be able to sustain for long term. Swapnil has been writing emails continuously for money, i will request all of you to take those requests seriously and at least reply to such emails. It it very necessary that we maintain transperancy in out operations so that we all are aware what is going on.

Few of the work that i have decided to do are

1) Track finance as closely as possible: I have asked Pinto Ji to send me daily SMS on day's expense and Income. I have decided to call him if i see any major expense during any day. In addition to track last month's (June 1 till 28th) finance, i had asked Pinto ji to tell me the total income and expense on all items. I have attached an excel that i have prepared based on his inputs. I will go through each item, one by one, with Pinto Ji to understand why the expense is that much.. For e.g If you see Milk's expense it seems it is quite high for a month, considering we do not use milk is most of our products, (i can think of only tea right now), so i will understand from him, why is Milk expense so high.

I will share an excel sheet in google excel where i will keep updating the income/expense SMS that i receive from Pinto Ji.

 

Also i have asked Pinto Ji to get TVS POS machine rectified so that we can generate bill for any transaction. It seems that TVS machine has to be programmed. I have told Pinto Ji that i will call TVS service executive to the shop and ask him to program it and do a demo so that we can start using it.

 

I hope this will help us track finanice more closely and detect any financial mismanagement happening by our staff in TCPT.

 

2) Making TCPT look better: Our shop doesnt look like a hotel from the road, unless people know it beforehand. We dont have a name board or anything that attracts attention.

So i have asked Pinto Ji to find our glow sign boad manufacturers and get a proper name board prepared for the shop. I have asked him to call me when he is in the shop so that i can explain to the manufacturer how our board should look like and also do financial discussion , so that we are aware how mcuh the board is going to cost.

 

In addition, i have asked Pinto Ji to find out Series Light vendor that we will put on my shop so that it can attract attention. Again i have asked Pinto Ji to call me when he is infornt of the series light shop. I tried to find series light near the area but couldnt find one, as i did not have any vehicle, All vehicles were busy for Wedding.

 

I have asked Pinto Ji to get drilling done so that we can hang beautiful pictures that Swapnil has got framed, also TV stand on the shop so that we can free one table that TV is utilizing.

 

3) Home Delivery & Tiffins: I have prepared a poster for home delivery and Tiffins and put it infront of the shop. I believe that we will get good orders in these areas. But for home dielivery i think our staff will need some vehicle. I used Swapnil's activa to do home deliver in My home apartments, that when i realised without vehicle it will be difficult for them to deliver. So i propose that we buy a second hand Cycle for our staff so that they can use that to delivery.  If we start getting good orders in home delivery that may be in future we can think about second hand scooty etc.

 

 

 

I will request all of you to take more interest in the shop operations so that we can become profitable as soon as possible. Also one request if anyone is planning for any Capital expenditure in the shop, i will request to just let email everyone so that all are aware. This is only for capital expenditure and not work working capital expenditure. I hope everyone knows the difference.

Guys I will visit our shop next week and hope our manager get the name
box with lighting ready. I have already discussed with Prasant reg
this and would like to notice the seriousness of our staff. I have
also informed Prasant to discuss with pintu abt any issues they face.
