Hello,

I'm trying to use t-coffee on a cluster, where users have restricted access to some directories. I installed t-coffee using mamba installation and everything seemed fine. However, whenever I try to run t-coffee itself I always get this error:

$ t_coffee

--ERROR: : Could Not Create Directory /var/tmp//tco/ [FATAL:T-COFFEE]

--ERROR: : Could Not Create Directory /var/tmp//tco/ [FATAL:T-COFFEE]

I don't have permission to create files in /var/tmp/. Is it possible to change the directory to point somewhere else?

Dear Marketa,

I n theory, you should be able to fix this by setting the environement variable

DIR_4_TCOFFEE

to a more convenient value. The list of paths needed by T-Coffee is here, but they are all dependent in DIR_4_TCOFFEE (in theory ;) )

https://tcoffee.org/Projects/tcoffee/documentation/index.html#setting-up-the-variables

Cheers,

Cedric
