Good news everyone!
The internet is working again. Our router decided to start talking to the upstream router, and I just needed to power-cycle the DSL modem again. I think it's going bad, as it was locked up with an orange light when I checked it.

Great! Just clarify a bit, the "it" going bad is the DSL modem, not
the router.
