Merger Approved! - Next Board meeting Wed Nov 18th

Dear TCLL Board Members,

Many of you may have already heard, but the proposed merger between Tri-Cities Pacific Little League and Cupertino National Little League has officially been approved by the Little League Charter Committee!  Our new boundary map is now on file in San Bernardino, and we will begin to operate officially as Cupertino Little League.  I would like to recognize Theresa, Tai and Don for their tireless efforts on the Merger Committee.  We ran into some challenges along the way, but their perseverance came through in the end.  Thank you very much for all of your hard work!   

We have our final "Merger Committee" meeting tomorrow (Tue Nov 10th) where we have a few things to review and discuss before we can begin operations as a single league.  Notably, we will be discussing the integration of the joint Board of Directors, and our financial consolidation.  Due to the timing of this meeting, I would like to reschedule our Board Meeting until Wednesday November 18th.   At this point, I intend to have a final Board Meeting as TCLL before kicking off our first joint meeting in early December.    

As you know, Registration for the 2016 Spring Season is now open.  If you haven't registered your players, please do so as soon as possible.   Hanyen has been working really hard on the transition from Tri-Cities to Cupertino Little League on the website.  Thank you Hanyen!    

As I have shared with all of you, I am very excited about the prospects that the combined leagues will bring to Little League baseball in our community.  We have a lot of work ahead of us, but with such a strong culture and great volunteers I know it will be a tremendous success.  If anyone has any questions, concerns, or issues--as always--do not hesitate to reach out to me.

-  No batting cage update (Don)

-  2016 Budget - due to Tai by 11/1

-  Budget based on last year’s TCLL budget, and assume double

-  Closing 2015 books in a couple weeks

- Submit outstanding checks or reimbursements to Tai

-  Rachel to sort out volunteer checks;  courtesy email prior to cashing

-  Will use League One online registration (what TCLL used last year)

-  Registration to open on 11/1 as Cupertino LLearly bird before 12/31
