-- Merger Update (Don / Tai / Todd / Theresa)
Please let me know if you will not be able to make it, as we need a quorum to vote. Also, please let me know if you want to add anything to the Agenda.
I haven't heard any suggestions for a new meeting place, so let's meet at Round Table on Stevens Creek at 7:30.
See you Wednesday!

MLB Play Bay Event:
TCLL is signed up for the Fielding Clinic.
Details:
Thank
you for your support of our “Play Ball” infinitive on August 29.
Information about the event is now live on the City of Cupertino website
at
www.cupertino.org/playball
and registration is open. We also have an email/social blast beginning
this week to help get the word out. Please let me know if you would
like any information for us to help marketing
this event to your league participants.
I
wanted to give you some more information about the baseball clinic
portion of the event. We estimate that we will have about 50 kids
between ages of 4-12. (As registration come in we will update on our
estimated
totals.) Kids will be broken up into groups by age and rotate through
the stations. The baseball clinic portion of the event will last 2
hours, which give each group 30 minutes per station. All the stations
will need to take place around the new Collins
baseball field.
Original request: I
wanted to give you all an update on the MLB Play Ball event the City of
Cupertino will be hosting on Saturday, August 29 from 9 am to 12 pm at
Collins Elementary School. Plans are coming together, but we will need
the help of our local
leagues to help make this event a success. The event will consist of a
ribbon cutting for the new Collins Elementary Baseball Field, free
youth baseball activities, raffle for all kid participants, ballpark
snacks, and potential visit from some Giants players
(SF or SJ we are still working with MLB on this).
In
order to make this event a success we are looking to your 3
baseball/softball leagues (Tri-Cities, Cupertino National, and Cupertino
Girls Softball League) to help out with youth baseball activities. The
plan is to have 4 skill stations
focusing on: hitting, throwing, fielding, and running. We would like
each of league to plan and operate one of these 4 stations. We leave
the details of what you choose to do up to you, since you are the
baseball experts in our community. The city can help
with any supplies that you would need for your station. Please let me
know if you have any questions, but each station is available on a first
come first serve basis, so if there is one you know you want let me
know right away so I can get you locked in.
In
addition, we want to make sure this event helps boost participation in
your leagues and each league will be provided with a table you can use
for marketing and league sign-ups. Those are all the details we have
for now. Please let
me know if you have any questions and if you league is willing for
hosting one of our stations by Wednesday, August 5. Thank you all, I
look forward to working with you to make this event a success.
