*IMPORTANT NOTICE: Vehicles must be properly maintained at all times. Law enforcement can issue you a summons whenever you drive a vehicle that has failed inspection. Red, failed inspection stickers do not prevent citations. There is no grace period.

If your vehicle fails inspection, you have up to one month from the last day of the month indicated on the inspection sticker to make repairs and return for re-inspection at a state inspection facility or state-licensed private inspection facility (N.J.A.C. 13:20-7.5). Vehicles overdue for inspection do not receive additional time to make necessary repairs (N.J.A.C. 13:20-43.12). Your vehicle may still be cited by law enforcement for equipment out of compliance.

If your vehicle is required to receive an OBDII emissions test, and it does not qualify for a waiver (see below), the vehicle must pass that inspection in order to receive an inspection sticker. The failure of the vehicle to pass the inspection can prevent the renewal of the vehicle registration. You must have the vehicle repaired to meet the standards and pass a re-inspection.

After the re-inspection, if the vehicle qualifies, the inspector can print a waiver form. Both you and the inspector must sign the waiver. The inspection station keeps the waiver and other related documents. The inspector then issues the inspection sticker for your vehicle valid for 1 year.

Vehicles that fail any component of emission testing must be repaired or the failure resolved before a valid inspection sticker can be issued for the vehicle. Vehicles failing the inspection will receive an orange temporary sticker. A vehicle that has failed inspection must be repaired and pass a reinspection or retest within 30 days. Upon passing the reinspection, the vehicle will receive a valid inspection sticker.

If your vehicle fails the gas cap test, you will have to purchase a new cap made specifically for your vehicle. You are entitled to at least one free retest if you do so before your thirty-day temporary sticker expires.

The Challenge Station is located at the Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) Automotive Center at 2115 North Lobdell, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. If you feel that your vehicle was not inspected properly or would like to challenge the results of your original test, a free retest is available. The Challenge Station is not authorized to issue state inspection stickers, but there are trained mechanics that will retest your vehicle for free to determine if your vehicle actually failed for the reason stated. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. The facility is open 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Monday through Friday) and can be reached by calling 225-216-8586. Vehicle owners whose vehicles failed because of a non-communication are encouraged to utilize this station.

If your vehicle fails because it failed to communicate, you should proceed to the Challenge Station for a free retest. If it does pass, you may return to the MVI station for your new sticker. If it fails again, a free secondary diagnostic can be performed on site to verify that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle.

The orange temporary sticker is valid for thirty (30) days, during which time you are entitled to one (1) free retest at the original MVI station. After your vehicle is repaired or the problem has been resolved, you may return to the original inspection station within the thirty-day period and receive the free retest. If your vehicle fails again, you may have to pay for any subsequent inspections. At any time, if you would like to challenge the inspection results, you can receive a free retest at the Emissions Challenge Station. If your vehicle passes, you will be instructed to return to the original MVI station to receive a valid inspection sticker.

Vehicle owners who receive this notice and did not have a valid inspection sticker on the order date need only have the vehicle PASS a Rhode Island Emission and/or Safety Inspection before the suspension effective date and time in order to avoid registration suspension. If you pass inspection on or after the date the notice is issued, please verify that the VIN on the sticker issued exactly matched the VIN on the NOA letter and then no further action is needed. The record will be electronically transmitted to DMV and update based on the VIN match within 24 hours.

If the inspection sticker was issued to the vehicle PRIOR to the order date listed on the NOA letter, that means that DMV does not have a record of your inspection. In this case, you must contact our Safety and Emission Control Office as soon as possible and speak with a representative and determine why the record was not received. The most common reasons are incorrect Vehicle Identification Numbers and GVWR discrepancies. A Safety and Emission Control representative can be reached at 462-5890 and will work with you to find resolve the issue.

You need to have your vehicle inspected and approved before the effective date listed on the NOA letter. After you have the vehicle inspected, please verify that the VIN on the sticker issued exactly matched the VIN on the NOA letter and then no further action is needed. The record will be electronically transmitted to DMV and update based on the VIN match.

There are a number of waivers that may apply to this situation, for more information please look HERE. If you believe you qualify for one of these waivers, you will need to obtain an inspection report verifying that you have PASSED the SAFETY portion of the inspection, and contact the Safety and Emission Control Office at 401-462-5890 to speak with a Customer Service Representative and schedule an appointment at the DMV Garage for review and sticker issuance.

I am using Xcode 13.1 and Monterrey 12.0.1. I created a Sticker App over the weekend, just a few sticker images to test and experienced the above error and cannot see the sticker images not on Simulator nor on an iPhone attached.

All New Hampshire registered vehicles require a safety inspection to be conducted within ten (10) days of the registration. After the initial inspection, registered vehicles must be re-inspected every year, no later than ten (10) days after the end of the owner's birth month. When a vehicle changes owners, it must be inspected in the new owner's name within ten (10) days of the registration date, even if the original inspection sticker has not expired. Please note that antique motor vehicles must be inspected in the month of April (Saf-C 3224).

Inspection information from both the safety and emission inspections will be entered into a computer system and electronically transferred to the DMV. Vehicles which pass both the safety and emissions inspections will be issued an inspection sticker. It will be valid for the same time period as the vehicle's registration. The mechanic is required to give a copy of the official Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR) to the motorist every time the vehicle is inspected.

A rejection indicates that a problem exists that could compromise the efficiency and smooth operation of your vehicle. Rejected vehicles must be repaired and pass the inspection before an inspection sticker will be issued. A one time, 60-day repair period will be allowed to have necessary diagnostics and repairs performed, and to have the vehicle re-tested to verify repairs.

You can continue to buy gas at this Wawa store, Mike, along with your morning orange juice, bagel with reduced-fat cream cheese and water-processed decaf. The red-sticker saga shows that the inspection system worked in this instance.

Problem: Silhouette registration marks not detected, causing registration failed error. Error reads: "Failed to detect Registration Marks. To retry, use [arrows] to position tool above the black square, then click REGISTER"

Conclusion: For making glossy stickers, the most robust combination is Buttercrafts Glossy Printable vinyl + Silhouette Print and Cut machines (Curio, Cameo or Portrait). Using Cricut? They are notorious for not reading glossy surfaces well. Check out the solution here.

Low Mileage Waiver: This waiver is available to a vehicle owner whose vehicle has failed both its initial emissions inspection and re-inspection and in which at least $100 in emissions related repairs have been performed. The vehicle is required to have been driven less than 5,000 miles in the previous inspection cycle and is expected to be driven fewer than 5,000 miles before the next safety inspection is required.

Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR): The VIR is provided to the vehicle owner upon completion of the inspection and indicates whether the vehicle passed or failed the inspection. A copy of the VIR can be obtained from any inspection station within 13 months of the last inspection. The inspection results can also be viewed on the TCEQ's vehicle inspection history Web site at www.MyTxCar.org.

I recently sent a large envelope to Ireland. The weight and postage are correct, as is the address. The sticker that was put over my lane upon return says: "Return To Sender - Rejected/Failed electronic customs clearance." Has anyone had this issue before? There aren't any COVID restrictions so I am stumped. Thanks in advance.

Just as a WAG, it looks like either your package contained something that Ireland doesn't permit entry for ("rejected"), or that whichever shipping company you bought your label from failed to transmit the customs info ("failed").

If you have a passing inspection in the inspection database, include a copy of your VIR with your registration renewal notice and your local county tax office will process your renewal. Your new registration sticker will be mailed to you.

If a roadworthy vehicle does not pass inspection, but the existing inspection sticker is valid for 10 or more days from the date of inspection, the vehicle owner may request to leave the existing inspection sticker on the vehicle to obtain a second opinion.
