La procura di Vicenza ha chiesto l'archiviazione per il caso di Michele Merlo, il cantante morto di leucemia fulminante due anni fa. Per i magistrati non stato possibile dimostrare il nesso di causalit, ovvero se Marco, che aveva 28 anni, si sarebbe potuto salvare se il medico di base di Ros (Vicenza), indagato nella vicenda, avesse subito scoperto la malattia.

Nell'inchiesta per omicidio colposo stato indagato il medico di Ros al quale l'artista si era rivolto il 26 maggio 2021. Il professionista, fuorviato forse dalle parole dello stesso cantante che aveva fatto riferimento a una contusione alla coscia rimediata durante un trasloco, gli prescrisse un bendaggio allo zinco per alcuni giorni. Solo successivamente arriv la corretta diagnosi, ma per il giovane non c' stato nulla da fare.
Per "Amici 22" quella di domenica 12 marzo stata infatti la prima puntata registrata dopo la morte di Costanzo. La ventiduesima puntata andata in onda il 5 marzo infatti era stata registrata nei giorni precedenti l'improvvisa scomparsa.
Ma quello dell'ingresso non stato per Maria De Filippi l'unico momento emotivamente impegnativo. Nel corso della puntata infatti Cricca, chiamato a interpretare il suo brano "Maledetta felicit", ha voluto dedicarlo in maniera molto rispettosa alla conduttrice, solo con uno sguardo che diceva tutto. Maria De Filippi dal canto suo ha colto il gesto e ha voluto ringraziare il ragazzo dicendogli: "Ho visto, ho fatto finta di non vedere ma ho capito quando mi hai guardato e ti sei girato di spalle".

Vicenza, 6 giugno 2023 - Due anni fa la morte di Michele Merlo, il dolore del padre ancora profondissimo come allora. Il cantante vicentino, noto anche come Mike bird,ex concorrente di Amici e X Factor morto a Bologna per una leucemia fulminante il 6 giugno 2021. Aveva 28 anni. E' ancora in corso il processo per stabilire se i medici avrebbero potuto salvargli la vita.
L'unico imputato del processo l'ex medico di base della famiglia Merlo, Vitaliano Pantaleo, reo secondo l'accusa di non aver capito che gli ematomi che gli aveva mostrato il ragazzo non erano dovuti a contusioni ma erano il segnale della leucemia.
Il medico di Ros si difeso sostenendo che fu lo stesso Merlo a trarlo in inganno, dicendogli di aver subito la contusione alla coscia durante un trasloco. Da l a pochi giorni la giusta diagnosi e la corsa ai vari pronto soccorso e ospedali, ma per il giovane era ormai troppo tardi per qualsiasi cura.
La famiglia del giovane e l' Associazione Romantico Ribelle nata in seguito alla scomparsa di Merlo, continuano a tenere vivo il ricordo. Tra le altre iniziate nei giorni scorsi uscito un inedito di Merlo "Brooklyn", brano scritto con il cantautore romano Gazzelle. Il testo esplora i temi dell'amore, della perdita e del cambiamento, trasformando per un attimo Roma in New York e in particolare Ponte Sisto nel Ponte di Brooklyn. Un'altra iniziativa il contest per artisti emergenti "Credici Sempre" organizzato a Jesolo.
Ever since the publication of Charles Homer Haskins' landmark studyThe Renaissance of the Twelfth Century (1927), the twelfthcentury has come to be recognized as a discrete period characterizedby great achievement and innovation in (among many other areas) Latinliterature. In her book, the third installment in Brill's newMedieval and Renaissance Authors and Texts series, BridgetBalint examines one fascinating development within twelfth-centuryLatin literary culture, the revival and proliferation of Boethianprosimetra, prose dialogues interspersed with poetry which fuseallegory with philosophical speculation. Why did this genre flourishduring this period as it did in no other in the history of westernliterature, and how do the authors' variations on traditional (i.e.Boethian) prosimetrum reflect contemporary ethical and anthropologicalconcerns? Balint answers these and other related questions in fivethematic chapters which offer close analyses of the only five Latinprosimetra of their kind to survive from the twelfth century:Hildebert of Lavardin's De querimonia, Adelard of Bath's Deeodem et diverso, Lawrence of Durham's Consolatio de morteamici, Bernardus Silvestris' Cosmographia, and Alan ofLille's De planctu Naturae.
When composing their literary works, medieval Latin writers looked forinspiration to classical and late Roman models, which they imitated--and, as the case may be, subverted--in varying degrees and ways. Theauthors of twelfth-century prosimetra looked mainly to the Romansenator Boethius' De consolatione philosophiae, which he pennedin 524 in prison prior to his execution for treason. It is framed as aprosimetrical dialogue between Boethius and Lady Philosophy, whoreminds her despairing interlocutor not to place his hope in thistransitory world but rather in the absolute and unchangeable goodnessof God; the dialogue culminates in Boethius coming to his senses andfinding consolation amidst his predicament. Why were twelfth-centuryprosimetrical writers so drawn to the De consolatione? Thefirst chapter ("The Authority of the Consolation") exploresthis issue by surveying some aspects of this work's reception from theeighth to twelfth centuries (there is much material indeed from whichto draw, for the De consolatione was one of the "best-sellers"of the Latin Middle Ages). As for our five writers, they shared withBoethius a preoccupation with how to resolve, or at least come toterms with, humanity's existential plight (e.g. the presence ofsuffering in a divinely ordered cosmos). Unlike previous generationsof medieval readers, they did not approach this work as a hallowed andsupremely authoritative text. As Balint argues, the prevalence in thetwelfth century of a more subjective type of accessus adauctorem that invited readers to evaluate for themselves themessage and merits of a given literary work opened up newpossibilities of interpretation to our writers. It was this lessreverent mode of handling long-venerated texts that empowered them toquestion and even to reject some of the De consolatione'scherished assumptions and teachings.
In the De consolatione Boethius plays the part of the earnestseeker who, despite his initial non-compliance, is able to re-embarkupon the path to wisdom only because in the end he humbly submits toPhilosophy's reasoning and authoritative exhortations. This Boethiannotion that reason and authority can work together in synergy toproduce spiritual enlightenment was no longer sustainable--if indeedit had ever been sustainable--in the more complex world of thetwelfth century, where reason and authority (in its patristic,conciliar, and other manifestations) seemed hopelessly at odds witheach other more often than not. The second chapter ("TheInterlocutors") shows how our writers' cynical awareness of thetension between the Boethian ideal and their contemporary reality isreflected by the ambiguous status of the interlocutors in theirdialogic narratives. Their personified abstractions behave lessmagisterially than Boethius' Philosophy, and they offer less completeand less satisfying answers to the narrators' conundra. For instance,Hildebert's Anima ("Soul") actually assumes characteristics, such ascomplacency and inconstancy, that make her resemble Boethius'prisoner-persona more than Philosophy, and in the end she isunable successfully to coach Hildebert towards a solution to hisoriginal problem.
The third chapter ("Situating the Self") examines the impliedrelationship in the five prosimetra between the authorialpersona (or narrator) and the reader. The twelfth century sawan explosion in interest, unprecedented in the medieval West, inexcavating the inner self through introspection. The prosimetricalgenre was ideally suited for this pursuit of interiority, not leastbecause its first-person narration enables the conveyance ofsubstantive didactic content in a livelier, more immediate way thanother genres of literature. The narrator within the prosimetrical textnot only stands for the author himself but also symbolizes theuniversal "I" (i.e. the reader), who vicariously participates with theauthor-narrator in the introspective process, such that he takes allof the admonitions directed at the narrator in the text as beingapplicable to himself. The five Boethian prosimetra, then, weredesigned in part to serve as guidebooks for the edification of theirreaders, who joined with the authors themselves in the exercise ofcollective soul-searching. Yet, by the same token, since they lack oneof the key formal features of Boethius' prosimetrum--namely, theestablishment of definitive answers to specific questions--, they givereaders some latitude in determining the appropriate answer(s) forthemselves.
