Finance Industry in HK/China: Observations on Industry Dynamics and Career Opportunities - Informal Sharing over Dinner

We are honored to invite one of our TCFA veterans, Dr. Rob Chen, CFA, currently serves as the Head of Asset Allocation and Passive Investments at Harvest Global Investment to share his observations, focusing on HK/China finance industry differences vs. the US, growth potential and some tips on exploring career opportunities. It is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meeting new ones and share experience.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Robert Chen has over 10 years’ experience in various systematic investing strategies, covering a wide range of asset classes. Prior to joining HGI, he was with Mellon Capital’s Asset Allocation investment team in San Francisco for 6 years, first working on global tactical asset allocation strategies, and then leading the team of multi-asset total return solutions. He also worked for Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and RBC.

Robert holds a PhD degree in Finance from the University of Toronto, an MA degree in Economics from the Simon Fraser University and a BA degree in Economics from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is a CFA charter holder. He is fluent in English, Putonghua and Cantonese.
