U16 AA Last Weekly Update for the 2014-2015 Season
I have procrastinated writing my last weekly email and updating our stats because in a strange way doing all of those things means our season is over!
So what can I say....
I can say that the stories that we wove together this season were quite simply....amazing!
This was a team where there was no "I." This team worked harder than any other team I have ever seen. With short benches in Pittsburgh and Canada we almost brought home championship trophies....and, with a full bench, we did bring home a championship trophy. This team never quit!
In years to come, we will not remember the goals, the saves, the back door feeds, or the big hits of this season. Rather, we will remember the road trips to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Rochester, Pittsburgh (again:), and Canada. We will remember the stories we told and made while supporting our boys on and off the ice, the chirps we inadvertently heard and, most importantly, the bonds we watched our boys form with their teammates....these are the things that truly made this season memorable.
As this hockey chapter comes to an end I want to thank our Coaches, Parents, and especially our Players for the opportunity to manage and to be a part of what I consider to be one of my most memorable hockey seasons.
